The original work to One Week Friends is a manga by Matcha Hazuki that is currently serialized in Square Enix’s monthly magazine Gangan Joker. The story depicts main character Yūki Hase who wants to be friends with his classmate Kaori Fujimiya. However, she frankly tells him that memories of her friends vanish every week. Because of this, Kaori keeps her distance from others and spends her time alone. The story is packed with Yūki’s pain and single-mindedness as he continues trying to create memories one by one for Kaori, a girl who continues losing her memory each week.
On March 29, an advance screening of the first episode will be held. Taking the stage will be Yoshitaka Yamaya, voice of Yūki Hase, and Sora Amamiya, voice of Kaori Fujimiya. Information on the location, time, and tickets is forthcoming.
